Lisa Jennings

Lisa Jennings is a PhD Candidate in the School of Planning, Architecture & Civil Engineering Queen's University Belfast investigating security within the home of older adults. Her research interest lies around the phenomenon of home, its socio-spatial structures and relationships. She is particularly interested in the perception of home, and interdisciplinary issues of sustainable living for older adults, the architecture of home, territory of home and communities. This current research is investigating older adults' perception of security in the home and the spatial manifestation of security with the aim to report on how to create secure home environments to facilitate ageing in place.
